I believe it’s such a good idea to have an organization of this nature. There are many Macedonians not only in the Chicago land area and Northwest Indiana, but all over United States that hopefully will be able to connect through MACE Center to exchange and expand their knowledge and share ideas.

A name is not just a name when it defines over 2 million people worldwide. We must educate ourselves and others outside our community about the great Macedonian heritage- our name, art in all of its forms, history and customs. It is a great pleasure, honor and obligation to make certain we preserve and expand what our ancestors gave us through my service on the Board of MACE Center.

Every diaspora needs the institutions that promote its culture and tradition. Being part of such an institution is a privilege and honor.

As a first generation Macedonian-American, I was lucky enough to be exposed to the Macedonian community throughout my life and am joining this organization because I know how much going to Macedonian cultural events and functions contributed to my sense of belonging somewhere.  I want to be able to provide others with that same opportunity.

MACE center is a place where the community is united behind the goal of promoting Macedonian culture. It is a place where everyone can join and help to find answers about all life spheres.

Promoting Macedonian culture, tradition and music has been part of my life since a very young age. It is with great honor and privilege to continue that mission through the MACE Center, and to serve and help the community stand together.

My involvement in MACE is intended to help inspire members of the Macedonian-American community to make a difference in the lives of their neighbors through a network of support services promoting their personal, social, cultural, and academic well being.
